Our current initiative: June is Innovation Month in New England
Why designate June as Innovation Month in New England?
Great events happen here throughout the year, but June is especially jam-packed ... and putting the focus on one month, we hope, will encourage people who don't normally get out and mix it up to do just that. Learn about an emerging field, make new connections, share some advice with a young entrepreneur, or find your next job.
Here's how you can involved:
- Spread the word about Innovation Month in New England using your networks: Facebook, blogs, Twitter, e-mail – whatever it takes. (Use the hashtag #NEinno.)
- Let people know which events you'll be attending...and encourage them to join you. When you're out at events in June, make sure other people know about the whole Innovation Month roster of happenings.
- Post notes, photos, video, audio from the events (and again, use the hashtag #NEinno.)
- Think you're the most active Innovation Month participant? Get the SVNGR mobile app, and click the "trek" button at the bottom of the screen to prove it.
To read more about Innovation Month 2010, see "Innovation Month: What's it to you?", which includes links to many blog posts on the most important innovation-related issues facing you (and our region).
For innovation-related happenings throughout the rest of the year, check out Greenhorn Connect, Gary's Guide, Mass High Tech and Xconomy Boston. All four have excellent, comprehensive calendars.
(Who's behind Innovation Month? Just a bunch of people who know that New England is already one of the most innovative, creative, entrepreneurial places on the planet — but want to turn it up to 11.)
